Sverdlovsk Strategic Planning Committee Launches Strategy Updating

August 6, 2010 — The Strategic Planning Committee of Sverdlovsk, Luhansk Oblast, assembled for its first meting in the process of updating the Sustainable Development Strategy, drafted for the Sverdlovsk city and raion under an EU project and adopted in 2008.

USAID LINC, which guides the updating, presented the Sverdlovsk Community Profile, a collection of statistics, and a report on Business Attitude Survey. Based on the findings presented, the city’s Economy Department and the Strategic Planning Committee will work out proposals on the updating.

The priority directions of the Sverdlovsk Sustainable Development Strategy include economic development of the territory, development of its human potential, and formation of a safe and comfortable living environment.
