April 8, 2011 — At its fourth meeting, facilitated by USAID LINC and held in Alchevsk, Luhansk Oblast, the task force for developing an investment brand of the Central Luhansk Sub-region discussed vision of the sub-region in 20 years and the structure of its future investment web site.
The task force includes representatives from the local governments of Alchevsk, Bryanka and Stakhanov, which comprise the sub-region, as well as representatives from local businesses and NGOs, and USAID LINC experts – a total of 13 persons. The group is expected to gather for next meeting in late April to summarize its findings. After that, USAID LINC is to develop Terms of Reference for branding company – subject to approval by all sub-region’s constituents.
The investment brand development is part of implementation of the sub-region’s Competitiveness Strategic Plan, namely the goal of developing the marketing of the territory as a “place for doing business with a special emphasis on foreign investors.”
