Feodosia Launches Drafting of Economic Development Strategy
Facilitated by the USAID LINC Project, Crimea’s Feodosia Expert Committee for Economic Development finally assembled for its first meeting to settle down to drafting the city’s economic development strategic plan.
The committee formulated a strategic vision of the city, identified three critical issues for the strategy to address, and carried out a SWOT analysis. The critical issues include tourism, investment attraction, and communal infrastructure. The decisions were made based on the Feodosia Community Profile and report on Business Attitude Survey presented by LINC experts.
Feodosia and LINC signed the Protocol of Intentions to collaborate in developing and implementing the strategic plan on July 3, 2009. The signing was part of the introductory meeting held by LINC for the Expert Committee.
