USAID LINC Discusses Public Procurement Development with Local Government Buyers

January 19-20, 2012, Zhytomyr / Vinnytsya — USAID LINC launched a series of round table meetings in Ukrainian regions to discuss pressing issues of preparing a National Strategy of Public Procurement Development.

The target audience of the meetings, facilitated by USAID LINC experts Simeon Sahaydachny and Oleksandr Kravchenko, include representatives from local government buyers, such as units of oblast state administrations (OSA) and town halls, as well as communal enterprises and regional offices of the Association of Ukrainian Cities (AUC).

The first round table of the series was held for the Zhytomyr OSA and City Rada, and was followed by a meeting at the AUC office. The third round table was carried out for the Vinnytsya OSA and City Rada.

Next meetings are scheduled to take place in Dnipropetrovsk on Jan. 13, Zaporizhya on Jan. 24, Donetsk on Jan. 26, and Luhansk on Jan. 27.
