Kreminna Raion Finalizes Draft Economic Development Strategy

July 23, 2010 — The Expert Committee for Strategic Planning of the Kreminna Raion, Luhansk Oblast, discussed and finalized the draft Economic Development Strategic Plan and decided to introduce the draft to the Kreminna Raion Rada for consideration and approval.

Kreminna Raion Adopts Economic Development Strategy

Sept. 23, 2010 — The Kreminna Raion Rada, Luhansk Oblast, adopted the Economic Development Strategic Plan drafted for the raion by the local Expert Committee for Strategic Planning of the Kreminna Raion under the guidance of USAID LINC. The strategic plan focuses on three critical issues of development: tourism, agribusiness, and small to medium business.

USAID Project Holds Competiveness Forum, Signs Protocol of Intentions in Western Luhansk Region

2009-12-01 - In Severodonetsk, Luhansk Oblast, the USAID LINC project held a two-day forum on Regional Competitiveness for representatives from Western Luhansk agglomeration communities. The event included the signing by LINC, the City Radas of Rubizhne and Severodonetsk, the Kreminna Raion State Administration, and the Kreminna Raion Rada of a Protocol of Intentions to develop and implement an Economic Development Strategic Plan for the Western Luhansk Region. The forum aimed at gating together active community members, Ukrainian and international experts, public officials, business people, and scientists to discuss how the regional competitiveness could be strengthen. Speakers at the forum included LINC Ukrainian and foreign advisors as well as experts from Kyiv-based universities.

Task Forces Draft Objectives of NW Luhansk Sub-region's Strategy

June 9-11, 2010 – In Severodonetsk, Luhansk Oblast, the Expert Committee (EC) for Economic Development of the Northwest Luhansk Sub-region, split into six task forces and reinforced by relevant local experts, drew up lists of objectives for the sub-region’s draft economic development strategy.

March 15, 2011 — At a meeting of the Council for Economic Development of the Northwest Luhansk Sub-region (”Innovative Donbas”), held in Severodonetsk, Luhansk Oblast, leaders of the sub-region’s member communities signed an agreement and formed a Coordinating Council for implementation of the sub-regional competitiveness strategy developed with assistance from USAID LINC.
