September 9, 2011, Kyiv — Implementing a joint initiative with USAID LINC, ASTRA, a cold storage equipment supplier based in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, installed a cold storage module at the Stolychny wholesale agricultural market in Kyiv.
September 6-8, 2011, Severodonetsk, Luhansk Oblast — USAID LINC conducted a workshop on “Market Analysis” for consulting firms and manufacturing enterprises in the Northwest Luhansk Sub-region.
July 11-15, 2011 — In Severodonetsk, Luhansk Oblast, USAID LINC delivered a five-day training course on Sales & Marketing to 30 representatives from 26 companies, both state-owned and private, operating in the chemicals industry in the Northwest Luhansk Sub-region.
July 13-14, 2011 — In Yevpatoria, Crimea, USAID LINC and its partner International Institute for Food Safety and Quality conducted two-day training in food hygiene and food safety management for managers and staff of local catering facilities.
July 1-2, 2011 — The first gastronomic festival “Mussels Express” in Sevastopol aimed at promoting sea food and local producers. USAID LINC supported the event by covering the cost of printing festival-related promo materials, such as T-shirts, caps, menus, etc.
June 29-30, 2011 — In Sevastopol, USAID LINC and its partner International Institute for Food Safety and Quality conducted training in “Developing and Implementing a Food Safety Management System at Restaurant Business Enterprises” for managers and staff of local catering facilities.
June 7-9, 2011 — In Severodonetsk, Luhansk Oblast, USAID LINC conducted training in international chemical business culture for chemical cluster members in the Northwest Luhansk Sub-region, which comprises the Luhansk Oblast’s cities of Lysychansk, Rubizhne and Severodonetsk and raion of Kreminna.
June 1, 2011 — In Sevastopol, USAID LINC in conjunction with the International Institute for Food Safety and Quality (IIFSQ) conducted a seminar on “Quality and Safety Management During Fish and Sea Food Processing”. The event was attended by 30 representatives from for the Sea Products Cluster Association’s members and partners, including sea food producers and processors, restaurants, supervisory agencies, and educational organizations.
July 30, 2010 — In Crimea’s Bakhchysaray Raion, the USAID LINC Project organized and carried out a Field Day workshop on the land belonging to a local farmer.
July 13-14, 2010 — USAID LINC held two one-day workshops under its Investment Project Search program, in Simferopol on July 13, and in Sevastopol next day.
June 18, 2010 — In Yevpatoria, Crimea, USAID LINC and the Crimean Tatar cultural and ethnographic center Odun Bazaar Qapusi presented new ethnographic tours to representatives from the Crimean tourism industry and media.
June 11-12, 2010 – USAID LINC in conjunction with the Crimean Hospitality Association organized a two-day presentation of the tourism potential and active service providers in Chornomoske on the Tarkhankut Peninsula – a Western Crimean region that is less popular than Crimea’s Southern Coast. Historical and natural sites, as well as accommodation facilities of the area were shown to major Crimean tour operators and industry representatives from other Crimean regions, who attended this event.
June 3 – USAID and LINC representatives presented USAID-supported initiatives in inter-municipal coordination and cluster development the 5th International Conference "Innovative Levers to Realize State Regional Policy: Ukrainian and International Experience" held in Sevastopol, Crimea.
2009-12-18 - LINC project met the Kyiv-based agricultural company Sagro, which is planning to create a logistics center in Crimea, to provide them a database of potential Crimean fruits and vegetables suppliers.
2009-12-11 - LINC project organized a round table on “Impact of Ukraine's WTO Accession on the Agrarian Sector” in its office in Simferopol, Crimea. The event, attended by representatives from Crimea's agricultural sector, aimed at discussing opportunities and prospects for agrarians arising from Ukraine’s membership in WTO.
