January 15-21, 2012, Simeiz, Crimea — USAID LINC supported a workshop for Crimean craftsmen to help them elaborate sketches for ethnic Crimean Tatar table sets and other ethnically marked souvenirs.
January 18, 2012, Sudak, Crimea — USAID LINC supported the second seminar on new rules of accounting and taxation which gathered about 45 owners and managers of private guest houses and small hotels from the South-East Crimea.
January 10-15, 2012, Bohorodchany, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast / Chernivtsi — USAID LINC carried out a workshop aimed at familiarizing the project’s tourism-oriented partner regions and municipalities with the best practices of using celebration of the Christmas and New Year season’s holidays as tourist attractions.
January 11, 2012, Saky, Crimea — USAID LINC supported a seminar on new rules of accounting and taxation for private accommodation services provided by individuals and sole proprietors.
December 20, 2011, Simferopol — USAID LINC organized a seminar, titled “Enhancing the Visitor Experience in Crimean Museums”, in order to help museums improve their services and attract new customers.
December 16-17, 2011, Sevastopol — USAID LINC organized a two-day training session on quality management for spa and wellness managers, hotel managers and heads of medical tourism units. The training was delivered by Stephan Thelen, an Austrian expert.
December 16, 2011, Sevastopol — USAID LINC experts took part in the seminar dedicated to innovative technologies for museums.
December 10-11, 2011, Lublin, Poland — USAID LINC supported the participation of three Crimean craftsmen and a traditional music band in the Mikolajki Folkowe Art Festival in Lublin, Poland.
December 8, 2011, Kyiv — USAID LINC and the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine carried out training in Marketing and Branding of Tourist Destinations.
December 6-7, 2011, Yalta, Crimea — USAID LINC, in cooperation with the International Institute for Food Safety and Quality, held a two-day training seminar entitled “Elaboration and implementation of food safety management system in restaurants”.
December 7, 2011, Kyiv — Twenty-five representatives from USAID LINC’s tourism-oriented partner regions and partner project attended the Second International Forum “Ukraine: Country and City Branding.” These participants were exempted from fees because USAID LINC was a sponsor of the event.
December 3-6, 2011, Bakhchysaray, Crimea — USAID LINC and the ArtPole event agency held a seminar titled “Festivals as a regional image building and economic development factor”.
December 1-2, 2011, Alushta/Yalta, Crimea — USAID LINC in conjunction with the Small Hotels Association of Crimea organized a two-day study tour for over 40 owners and directors of small Crimean hotels to encourage knowledge sharing and discussion of best practices among the participants.
November 24-26, Kerch, Crimea — USAID LINC sponsored the 7th science-to-practice conference entitled “Crimea: Culture, Education, Activity”. This informative and networking event gathered 130 owners and managers of tourist companies and accommodation facilities, guides, museum workers and scientists, other stakeholders.
November 21, 2011, Simferopol, Crimea — USAID LINC supported a seminar on social media to help find alternative promotion tools for small and medium accommodation facilities and raise their profile on the market.
