December 1, 2011, Bakhchysaray, Crimea — workshop on “Solutions for Small-scale Producers of Vegetables under Glass” for farmers, private producers, members of agricultural production cooperatives.

October 15-16, 2011, Bakhchysaray, Crimea — USAID LINC cosponsored a festival held near and named after the Eastern Gate – one of the entries to the famous medieval Çufut Qale cave city.

October 13-15, 2011, Simferopol/Yalta/Sevastopol/Bakhchysaray, Crimea — USAID LINC sponsored a promo tour of Crimea organized by the Crimean Tourism Development Center for 15 representatives from eleven Swiss travel companies.

September 26-30, 2011, Bakhchysaray/Pervomayske/Nyzhnyohirsky/Kirovske/Rozdolne, Crimea — USAID LINC carried out a series of workshops on produce storage and processing technologies for Crimean agricultural producers and members of agricultural service cooperatives.

July 24, 2011 — The Legends of Theodoro festival was held on July weekends in the Bakhchysaray Raion of Crimea near the historic fortress of Mangup-Kale.

June 10-11, 2011 — A Tourist Information Center (TIC), established with assistance from USAID LINC and the Czech Republic, was inaugurated in Bakhchysaray, Crimea.

April 15, 2011 — USAID LINC conducted a seminar on “International Technical Assistance in Storing and Processing of Agricultural Produce” for farmers and processors of Bakhchysaray Raion, Crimea. Earlier, similar seminars had been conducted in other Crimea’s regions.

July 30, 2010 — In Crimea’s Bakhchysaray Raion, the USAID LINC Project organized and carried out a Field Day workshop on the land belonging to a local farmer.

May 31, 2010 – The Implementation Committee that monitors the implementation of the Bakhchysaray Raion Sustainable Development Strategy in Crimea, held its third meeting to focus on projects of old town renovation and industrial park development.

2009-12-10 - Crimea's Bakhchysaray Expert Committee for Economic Development at its final, enlarged, meeting publicized what they call the economic block of the Bakhchysaray Raion and City Sustainable Development Strategy. The block focuses on creation of conditions for investment attraction, improvement in raion development management, and development of hard infrastructure. The committee drafted the strategy with assistance from the USAID LINC project and UNDP Crimea Integration and Development Program, LINC being in charge of the economic block.

September 25, 2009 – The Friday session of the third joint meeting of USAID LINC-guided Crimea's Bakhchysaray city/raion Expert Committee for Economic Development and the UNDP Crimea Integration and Development Program's working groups approved tasks under long-term goals and discussed activities related to the tasks within the economic block of the draft Bakhchysaray Raion Sustainable Development Strategy.

The draft strategy's long-term economic goals, identified earlier, include investment attraction, improved management of the raion's development, utilities infrastructure development, and tourism development.

September 22, 2009 – A joint meeting of USAID LINC-guided Crimea's Bakhchysaray city/raion Expert Committee for Economic Development and the UNDP Crimea Integration and Development Program's working groups approved the structure proposed by LINC for the economic development strategy, part of general Bakhchysaray Raion Sustainable Development Strategy that is being drafted with assistance from the two donors.

The LINC project facilitates the “Investment and Economic Development” workshop for Bakhchysaray City Rada members and officers. The workshop, held in conjunction with a Crimean Council of Ministers Deputy Chairperson, is linked to local specifics and has a special focus on land, local strategy, and investment opportunities marketing and promotion.

The workshop, held in conjunction with a Crimean Council of Ministers Deputy Chairperson, is linked to local specifics and has a special focus on land, local strategy, and investment opportunities marketing and promotion.

August 26, 2009 - The Expert Committee for Economic Development of the Bakhchysaray city and raion, Crimea, gathered for its first meeting facilitated by LINC. LINC experts presented the Community Profile and a report on the Business Attitude Survey, and also facilitated identification of critical issues, formulation of strategic vision, and SWOT analysis for the city's future economic development strategy.

July 22, 2009 - Bakchysaray is a small city south of Simferopol, which has a large Tatar population in its surrounding raion, and which boasts Tatar historical sites of great cultural moment.  The city is too small to create its own strategic development plan, and the work here will accordingly be a combined urban/raion project that will take into account the needs of the city, the rural areas and the potential of economic interaction to build agricultural and tourism jobs and investment. The purpose of this meeting is to present the strategic planning process and methodology to EC members, discuss the next analytical phase in the strategy creation process, and set a schedule for strategic plan development.  A protocol of agreement will also be signed.
